A Good Start

Today was an extremely lazy day... but I did manage to engage my youngest in arranging our first and most important Christmas decoration.

Then he told me the story and acted it out over and over again... very gently with the ceramic pieces. The tree will wait another day.

Too cute. I've been looking into buying a child-friendly nativity for my girls, because they want to play with my Willow Tree pieces.

Cute! When my son was little, he had a plastic nativity that I'd gotten from Avon. It was his own, and kept him from trying to play with mine.

He also had his own small Christmas tree that he could decorate and rearrange at will. It saved my big tree.

A tree can't compete with a cute 5/6 yo. And the story is what makes Christmas real in your heart.

This year, I'm so glad we splurged and bought a fake tree last year. Saving us money now...and so quick to put up.

That's great, Tammy! I miss the "little guy" days!

One thing at a time, eh? Might as well pick something that will keep them busy! :-)
