Quick Diversion

Our schedule may be crazy, but I did manage to squeeze in a quick trip to an LYS about 20 miles up the coast within 24 hours of receiving an e-mail notifying me that they were now carrying Koigu! Not so happy were the 3 boys who were trapped in the car with me between events when I realized that I could just make it if I went right then. They claim that I always take too long in yarn stores. What-Ev.

After much consideration, I chose these 2 colors for some fair isle mitts. But for now I'm just gazing at them with contentment.

Beautiful colors! You could stare at those for a bit in the hanks...then wind them and stare at them again...then knit with them enjoying that time...all before you get to wear the mittens. Definately worth the money in your entertainment budget.

I'm so excited about Anacapa getting Koigu! That pink color is gorgeous.

Oh, yes. I am feeling the happiness from here. Who needs Wollmeise anyway?

Isn't the Koigu just beautiful stuff? I haven't made it to Anacapa yet to check it out, but I plan to. I did get my order from TLE. I can meet you and Julie next Tuesday at 11:00 at the LYS if that works for you guys. Let me know.

And why is it that koigu looks so much prettier in the skein rather than wound into a ball? Love those colors! You could knit Posey socks from the Spring 2008 Knitty with those!

I hate to be distracted, but is that lovely green green grass that is there in your picture....if you could just move that yarn to the side for a second maybe I could gaze at that for a minute? *sigh*

I'm headed to Purl SoHo tomorrow in Tustin to check out their Koigu and Malabrigo. Not that I *need* any, but that's never the point.
