Too Tired for Words

We are in the midst of the flurry of activity that sweeps through our house each year when baseball and basketball seasons overlap. This week alone featured 8 baseball games, 4 baseball practices (not including my oldest son's daily after school baseball practices for the high school team), 3 basketball practices and 2 basketball games. And only 3 of my boys are playing!

Unfortunately I can't be everywhere so this week I only managed to make 4 baseball games and 1 basketball game.

I thought I'd share my view of the 4th game of the week...

Okay, so it's my view of most games... but baseball is slow that way so it makes perfect sock knitting. Thus, another pair of finished socks.

Sock Pixie's Groovy Rib Socks
Dream in Color Smooshy in Cool Fire
Fun and Easy

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this yarn. If you haven't tried it yet, you must. If the name itself isn't enough, just click on the photo to enlarge and check out all the color variations.

I also started Talia from the new Knitty. I've been dying to knit a garment of sorts with some Malabrigo and a vest seemed like the perfect option for our climate.

Now I must return to reclining semi-comatose on the couch. We are watching a Who documentary on Vh1. I can't even begin to tell you how much this excites me. I much prefer the Who's that Horton hears. Speaking of which has anyone seen the new movie yet? How was it? I'm looking forward to it.

That's the sort of schedule that I don't cope with!!! Mine all quit football (soccer) last year because it was too much- for me...!
Great socks- and I like the look of your vest- I actually thought about knitting it myself:-)

I want to knit Talia too! I can't wait to see yours. If I could only knit with Dream in Color for the next 3 years, really I'd be okay with that. I love that yarn.

I love the look of Talia, I'm hoping to knit that one, myself. Like you, I tend to wear t-shirts and jeans, so something to dress it up a bit is always nice. :0)

Love the socks! Too much running for me, but then I don't have boys!

I saw the movie on Saturday with my boys and it was really good. Very entertaining and funny. You'll enjoy it.
The socks are really pretty. I have some Smooshy in my stash and I think that I'll get that out and use it next. That sock pattern is fun to knit too. I made a pair of socks with that pattern using some Trekking XXL and they turned out really cute!

I am so glad to see you've started Talia. It'll be great in that color. And DIC Smooshy is the best, huh? Much better than any ole Wollmeise !

The socks are wonderful and Talia's pattern is so pretty!

My goodness... you do have a packed schedule : )

I want to see "Horton," too, but I haven't yet, so I can't help you out there...

I just read your sports schedule out loud to my husband. We feel better now. Last night, when I realized there was a good chance Science Field Day, Honor Band, football, karate, and music lessons were all scheduled for the same day and time, I spent some quality time with my calendar and worked out the next two months. We both went to bed feeling a bit grim. So thanks!

Baseball is such the perfect sport for knitting. As our grandkids get older and we start attending more games, maybe I'll get more knitting accomplished.

Your socks look wonderful. I have some DIC in my stash, but haven't knit with it ... yet.

I'm so glad to see someone I know knitting Talia. If only my queue weren't overflowing.
