First of all, I must thank all of you who reassured me that I'm not alone in my spellcheck joy. I feel much better now. So on to my 2 things...
New books...
*A thick book of patterns from Classic Elite (that I haven't had time to look through yet)
*A new Agatha Raisin book (the latest in a mystery series featuring the abrasive middle aged Agatha set in the English Cotswolds)
*The House of Lanyon (recommended by Laura on her blog)
And finished socks!
Firestarter socks
Wollmeise Campari Orange
Size 0 & 1 circular needles
These more accurately represent the color.
I had to relax my knitting a bit to work the cables on such small needles, but once I got the hang of it, it was fun. The Wollmeise yarn is wonderful. The colors are deep and vibrant, and the yarn is very smooth and pleasant to work with.
And I could eat Cheetos while I knit them!

Thanks for the heads up on the new MC Beaton book - I can't wait to read it now! :0)
Love the socks. I'm a big Agatha Raisin fan too- she just cracks me up when she is trying to squeeze into a skirt/ car/ seat/ cabana boy's lap...
Yes, I didn't know about the new M.C. Beaton book either! The socks are so cheerful and autumnal!
I hope you enjoy The House of Lanyon. I bought the sequel last weekend and am going to read it soon.
Wow! Those socks are amazing! The color reminds me of sherbet or something...so refreshing :-)
Off to amazon to look at that Classic Elite if they have it....
Love the socks, especially with the cheetos mixed in...were they crunchy or puffs! :) I'll have to check those books out!
those socks are beautiful! I have never heard of either of the authors you mentioned and I love english mysteries. Anyone named Agatha must be a fun character. . .cheers
