Finished Monkeys!

Seacoast Handpainted Panda, Colorway: Chocolate & Caramel
Magic Loop w/Knit Picks 2.5 mm circular

This yarn is very nice. It has a soft, heathery feel and lovely color variations. It was a great pattern, but I have so many things on the needles I'm really just glad to be done!

Work continues on Loopy Laces...
one down, toe started on 2nd.

I love the pattern and the beautiful Lorna's Laces Tuscany.

Now for the bad... I am beyond crushed, but I have to say it... I was so disappointed in House last night. It's the first time I've ever watched the show and thought it was lame. But what really annoyed me was Dr. House's dialogue with the CIA gal. It was like watching Family Guy (I mean, I imagine it was... not that I have, you know, ever actually watched Family Guy... or would admit to it if I had). Lewd, crude, and obnoxious. Cynical, sarcastic and edgy is one thing, talking like a Will Ferrel character is another. Actually, I like Will Ferrell too... most of the time... but just like I can't picture him as House... I don't want to see House be him.

Anyway, I felt like I was watching an episode that was written while the writers were on strike not before. And speaking of the strike... no, actually I'm not going to. Suffice it to say, that unless their very life or health is at risk, I think people should work. It's only my opinion... and yes, I know, everyone has one. And I'm a bit stressed about possible interruptions or delays (think Lost) and I'm already missing Jay Leno.

BTW, Why doesn't Oprah have union writers? I thought that was odd. I guess she's like an industry unto herself.

Oh well, now I will duck, cover and knit.

I bet no writer on oprahs show would dare quit- she might pay them zillons of dollars and gives them free stuff. Hey- how can I get a gig on Oprah??! Maybe us bloggers can get a job as scabs( is that what they call'em?)to write during the strike. Your sockys are veddy nice.

Hi Tammy,

I just watched House last night. I thought House was a bit randy last night. I thought all the negative comments about the CIA were rude. That is very narrow minded thinking.

The Doc who "cured polio" turned out to be quite the nut.

The part I did think was very interesting was the CIA woman coming to work with House!!!

He was shooting off his mouth, and then she shows up. He felt safe acting like that when he knew we could leave and not ever really be more intimate with someone.

Now she is here.

Will the flirting continue?

I bet her will need to make a buffer.

I also think it was hilarious that no one believed he was at the Cia.

By the way, uerstrikenfrau is exactly right.

No one would dare approach union talks and make Oprah mad.

They love their jobs with her and would't EVER jeopardize them.

I'm not saying she pays the most....

I'm saying that they have a very coveted job, working for her.

I love your socks!
as for HOUSE..I am so totally clueless, we've been cable free for 4 1/2 years and I have never seen the show. Can you believe it? I live in a different reality than most people. I don't even know what is going on in the news.

I agree with you on House. There were a few good moments and I rather enjoyed the Peace Corp dr. turning out to be a nut job. But overall, it was wrong. Too crude, not clever enough, not a good enough medical drama. Cameron & Chase bits felt forced into the episode. As much as I want to keep them around, I don't want it to be just random.

And another new character? I don't like the CIA lady actress anyway, and now we have somebody else? It already feels like there's not enough time in the episode for all the players.

Oh, did you hear HL's accent when he said "piano"? It was "Pi-ahhhno", which amused me.

Beautiful socks!

Yeah, I thought it was crude, too! Not that it was ever "polite" fare, but it went too far in this last episode.

Love those socks! You amaze me with your willingness to knit so many different sock patterns - Lovely!

Your socks look fantastic. The Monkeys look yummy enough to eat!!

I love the banter that House has with Cuddy, but he went too far last night. Maybe they added a new writer this year?

Tammy,

Love the socks! They came out great. I'm going to have to put that pattern in my Ravelry Queue for an upcoming project.

BTW, did you buy any of that new Alpaca sock yarn that came in last week at the LYS? I couldn't resist, I got a green/pink colorway. Love Alpaca. :)
