What Mom Doesn't Know...

So what do your kids do for fun?

Apparently my 8 yo likes to plug the bathroom sink and fill it with water.

Then for a really good time, he plugs the overflow drain so he can fill it as high as possible.

Why? Just because.

Apparently my 5 yo finds it much more fun to turn the water back on and just let it keep running... and running... and running.

Why? "It's fun."

For who?

No Damn Way!

We don't have water flow problems here at the House of Sophanne but holy moly, when I read this:

Why? "It's fun." For Who?

It was deja vu all over again. I must ask Mr. Sophanne that question at least 3 times a week!

That calls for a whole lot of knitting to get your sanity back after something like this. Breathe. Ohhmmmmmm.

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe they did that. You do not look like you think that is fun. At least we have tile floors.

I forgot to comment yesterday that your neckwarmer is beautiful! I love it.

Lucky you. I have a child named Wasn't Me who plugs up the toilet-regularly- I even had to get a plunger that could unplug the NYC sewer system[if that need ever comes up]just to 'free' bessie.

So sorry.

Is there a silver lining to this????

Happy thanksgiving, Tammy.

Big hugs,

I have water issues. What a lovely way to spend the day!

And yes, it probably was fun, it would be for me probably if someone else was the one to have to come behind me and clean it up ;-)

Happy Thanksgiving Tammy. I'm sure it's hard to even feel thankful with all that water damage. My mom has taught me to always think of someone else in a tougher situation...and then mine seems minimal. (I think that came from Amy Carmichael) So, while it's water...at least it wasn't trial by fire. So many have lost their entire homes recently. And while you want to wring their necks...at least they're still with you...friends of mine have been loosing their little ones. And while I shouldn't laugh at you...I did smile. Because I know those pictures could have easily been my house. Thank you for sending a smile to me. And Happy Thanksgiving...you really have some little ones who will owe you lots of doing the dishes and taking out the trash...so today just knit.

I've been there...three girls plugging the shower and filling the bathroom floor...and the hall...under the wooden floorboards...Why? Because it was fun!

I hope the house isn't too damaged!
And I still hope you will have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Oh my. Fun for who? I'll have to remember that one. My kids have made some pretty bad messes, but you get the gold medal! My condolences.

Happy Thanksgiving anyways?

Oh. No.

Do you have to replace the floor?

Hope you get to use the disaster as an opportunity. Maybe not just new carpet or tile or wood but new yarn?
P.S.
I finished the Robe today.

WHOA. Is your 8 year old still breathing?

We've had a flood before and I know it's not fun. Yikes.

At least he did it at home. My 6 year old plugged a toilet at school with paper towels "just to see what would happen".

What happened was that it flooded the bathroom and he got a "behavior" slip (a piece of paper that gets sent home to say he was naughty). If he'd've done it at home he'd've got a "you better start cleanin' that mess up" slip.

On the other hand, since it WAS at school, someone ELSE had to clean it up.
