What's in Your Freezer?

I can say pretty confidently that I am most certainly the least creative person I know. Counted cross-stitch was as creative as I ever got for most of my life. All knitting I do requires a pattern and I consider subbing yarn a huge creative leap.

However, in a twist of Creative irony, I have given birth to one of the most creative people I have ever known. He amazes me everyday with his outlook and activities.

For example, "Hey bud, what are you doing?"

Frozen cavemen

(I bet you thought I was joking about the fedora, didn't you Lynn?)

"I'm digging up frozen cavemen."

Frozen cavemen

"Ahhh... so you are."

So there you go. A recipe for summer fun for your kids. Frozen cavemen.

I did finish a pair of socks the other day that I started last summer. They had disappeared for quite some time.

Beautiful socks! And you have to love those creative kids! I'm a pattern-follower myself - nary a creative bone in the body.

The frozen yoda waiting to be dug up reminds me how upset I used to get when my Dad would mow the lawn and little bits of shredded action figures would fly at us. I never did get over losing my Boba Fett that way. May the force be with us all.

I love kids! My older son always has amazing ideas. When he was in kindergarten, there was a little girl in his class who was...not smart. One day after school the first or second week, he started mixing all sorts of interesting things in a cup (flour, water, salt, etc.) I asked him what he was making. He responded, "A potion to fix M's brain." I was completely torn between hysterical laughter, horror, and a need to explain about different abilities. Eventually, my brain blew a fuse and I ended up saying nothing. Because, really, what can you say to that?

Creativity can be a blessing and a bane. With so much " I could do THIS and I could do THAT" one (such as myself) never ends up doing anything!

Hilarious!

He definitely can pull off the look. I'm curious to know where the Fedora came from. The kid's got taste.

Now, Tammy. I'm having a little spaz attack studying that picture. He doesn't appear to be in the kitchen with all that melting ice, Unless you have a lovely green couch in your kitchen?

I'm just remembering the Great Hallway Water Spill of 2008.
