Gulp

I am totally choking here under the pressure of the Ravelympics. Ugh!

I'm supposed to be fearlessly wrestling my WIPs, but the competition is fierce and I just can't get the upper hand. It would seem, in fact, that out of complete cowardice, I have done just about everything but wrestle a WIP.

Just look around... Not only have I spent countless hours reformatting my blog (yes, hours... hours to make it this boring and plain... but I was having problems with photos in the old format so for now this was the best I could do), but I joined Facebook (can you hear the suction), tried to figure out Plurk (I failed), and... and knit this...

Dishcloth

My very first ever dishcloth. (And since I've reformatted my blog, I can post it bigger than ever. You're welcome.)

Ugh!

But now I will watch the women's gymnastics and wrestle. Minimum age of 16 huh? Am I the only one not buying that?

Yeah. Not. I'm watching "women's" gymnastics as I'm reading blogs. The girl on right now isn't old enough to cross the street by herself.

The new blog design looks great!

I'm not doing so well with WIP Wrestling myself, but I am quite entertained by the conversations hubby and I are having during the Olympics.

My husband is convinced the average age is 14 and that they are all wearing padded bras. :-) He also says the sport should be renamed "girls" gymnastics. Then again, there is that 30-something woman on the German team. She may not appreciate the "girls" reference.

I agree, if those Chinese girls are 16, then I'm 30.... yea, not!

love the new blog look. for all of it's ease of posting, it does take forever to change the look of a blog on blogger.

I made the same exact remark last night as you all: it should be called "girls gymnastics". They are not women yet, they are babes....babes in shark infested waters. the judges and commentators being the sharks. the stress on them physically and psychologically has to be tremendous. I can't imagine what that does to their psyche.

All the same, I enjoyed watching the olympics last night.

Thats what I thought about the womens gymnists too...they look way younger than 16!

Thanks for the meme tag! I have it saved in a draft to be posted soon-ish, but we are demoing a bathroom at the moment and I get scolded when I even think of sitting at the computer.

We did watch the gymnastics last night and there is no way in the world those girls are 16. Something fishy going on there...

Tammy,
Is that a new rule? The sixteen thing?

I'm sure Nadia and Olga were younger...

And as I mentioned on twitter...I miss the tens. I have no idea of someone has gotten a good or a bad score.

Tammy - I love the look of the new blog. Your dishcloth is very colorful and fun looking too. Is that the knitty (can't remember pattern name) scarf? It looks lovely! I am on facebook too, and it is fun to find people that I didn't know were there! Those little girls from China haven't even thought about puberty - their faces are baby faces. . . hmmmm
