Actually, I'm not comletely sure of that. But I'm in a race with another knitter to finish this cardigan.
The best part of the race (my secret weapon)... is the other knitter doesn't know we're racing!
This gives me a great advantage for a couple of reasons.
1) I have no doubt that she would whip this out in mere minutes if she knew as she is an extremely talented knitter.
2) Since is not an official race, I can't actually lose. (I hate losing.)
It's really a win-win situation for me. Especially since I am absolutely in love with this new Noro Matsuri. I've already picked out another pattern in the book that I'm planning on knitting in some reds.
But next on deck is this...
Wendy's Elinor Tunic from the new Interweave Knits with the recommended Rowan Summer Tweed.
Busy... busy... busy!

May the best woman win!!! And that would be you because I haven't even touched mine. I got sucked in by more lace!
beautiful! can't wait to see it finished!
Can't wait to see them finished...what beautiful colors!
So that's how I can win without confronting my fear of competition. Brilliant! Gorgeous sweater!
I love how the Noro is striping for your sweater. And I really like the shaping for Wendy's tunic. It looked so great on all the Gallery Gals. But, I'm more pear shaped...and my belly is the part I'd rather downplay. I want wait to see yours. Maybe it would still work for me. At the least...I could knit it w/o the colorwork. But that would be sad.
That Matsuri is knitting up really beautifully. How is the texture?
I have a bunch of Summer Tweed in the stash, and I haven't been able to figure out what to do with it. Unfortunately, it's all the same color. Hmmm. I saw some at the lys recently...
Of course you're winning. Your the fastest knitter I've ever known. The colors looks gorgeous. I'm sure we'll be seeing modeled photos of it by the weekend huh?
(Chuckling in understanding and competitive sympathy)"You GO, girl!"
great colors! You are a sneaky competitor there, Tammy ;-)
I like your theory about the "race". You'll win either way. You seem to be cranking out one project after another.
"Go Tammy, Go! Go!"( ....yelled like a crazy high school cheerleader)
You should know that I just dropped a load of money on yarn and magazines because of your recent sideways sweater...although I am doing a different sweater this time around. It is still your fault I went to the shop!
