Whirlwind Weekend

I'm still too tired for too many words, so here's our weekend in pictures...

Swimming

That's alotta boys!

swimmingSwimming

There's something about a swimming pool that brings peace and harmony between brothers. It warms my heart to watch the older ones take care of young JoJo (as opposed to, you know, torturing him).

No trip to Dallas would be complete without a visit to the JFK Sixth Floor Museum.
JFK Sixth Street Museum

The museum was very moving and, of course, just being in such a historical place had a very profound impact on me. My guys are standing on the Grassy Knoll with the Book Depository (& museum) behind them.

But here is what I really wanted to share...

Dallas Wedding

We clean up pretty good don't we? Notice Swallowtail in action? I really enjoyed wearing it and it was the perfect accent for a rather plain black dress.

I was so proud of my boys... they behaved well and we danced all night. It was, without a doubt, the most fun wedding I've ever been to. Unlike some weddings where the dance floor is slow to fill, this floor filled almost immediately and these young people knew how to dance! Quickly a group of cheering onlookers gathered to cheer on one of the dancers. I squeezd my way into the circle to get a peek...

Wedding - JoJo

Uh... do I know him? *blush* (What can I say... he learned all his moves from Troy.)

All that swimming, sightseeing, and dancing left us worn out and ready to come home.
Loopy w/JoJo

Loopy and one completed sock were ready as well.

Go ahead and order Christmas Cards now! I can never get my 3 to look at the camera at the same time. And here you have everyone...dressed up and happy. While you're at it, order an 8x10 for home. The Swallowtail looks great too. I really need to plan a trip to TX for my little ones. My dad's side of the family is all in Amarillo. Looks like you all had fun. I hope the freak out was minimal.

I love the family photo!! Your swallowtail is perfect. I knew you had 5 boys, but wow...seeing them all together like that...it IS a lot of boys!

Also, the eyelashes on that last kid are killing me.

I don't think I've ever seen all five of your boys in one photo before. That is a lot of boys. You have a beautiful family. km is right, frame that picture, everyone looking in the same direction, that's magic! Never happens at my house.

P.S. your swallowtail shawl is stunning too.

That looks like a lot of fun. You know a family trip is perfect when all of them behave. You have a couple of show stoppers there. Do you have to fight the girls off of them yet?

I love the pic of the whole family. Yes, you do clean up well. I take it you didn't get to Carlsbad Caverns? Oh, and I have the same pic in front of the museum in Dallas. That was so interesting to see. Did you come home and need a vacation from the vacation?
